Hi Books community,

Thank you so much for your patience on the news for BKABF 2025. We have an important update. As you may know, BKABF is run by a small but mighty volunteer staff. But even the mighty need rest! With this, we’ve decided to take a break this year to focus on making the fair a more sustainable practice.

Don’t worry, while there will not be a BKABF 2025, we will continue to organize smaller programs and workshops throughout the year! Stay tuned for these upcoming events.

If you have enjoyed the fair, whether as an exhibitor, guest, or volunteer, please consider supporting us by buying something from our online shop or sending us a donation. To stay up to date, you can subscribe to our newsletter as well.

It remains our mission to platform and remove financial barriers for underrepresented and emerging artists. We love seeing you every year and are excited to see you again, refreshed, recharged and ready to go in 2026!

Our eighth year will feature vending publishers, artist programming, and will be a fully-masked indoor event from September 20th through 22nd.

The fair returns hosted in partnership with Recess Gallery in Fort Greene near the Navy Yard at 46 Washington Avenue.
